Welcome to Mimi Art Gallery! Australia’s newest online Contemporary Indigenous Art gallery.
Since our launch earlier this year, we’ve been busy working behind the scenes on the functionality and layout of the site. Now we can focus on the important stuff – supplying you with gorgeous affordable art. So stay tuned as our stockroom increases.
The art we feature is not available anywhere for such an affordable price. We are not primarily on-sellers, so you avoid paying the huge gallery mark-ups and on-seller commissions.
Most of the artwork available on Mimi Art Gallery comes direct from the artists, produced in our studio in Alice Springs. When you purchase art from our online gallery, you can feel confident that you’re directly supporting the talented Aboriginal artist communities, instead of paying for expensive gallery overheads and commission costs.
Our art specialists have developed a close relationship with the nomadic Central Desert artist communities. The artists are always on the move – travelling vast distances to visit relatives and sacred sites all over the Northern Territory. They regularly travel hundreds of kilometres just to work in our studio. We make sure to provide a comfortable and nurturing environment, allowing the artists to produce their finest quality work.
Everyone is welcome at Mimi Art Gallery – there’s often up to 30 or more artists working in our studio. It’s truly an inspirational place. Bursting with talent and alive with music and laughter.
